ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION AT EURECOM

The Multimedia Communications Department of Institut EURECOM invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of audio processing.

The new faculty is expected to undertake research in the area of audio analysis in collaboration with the existing activities on video indexing, biometry and watermarking, and to participate in the teaching program for Master students.

 

The candidates must have a Ph.D. in computer science or electrical  engineering with a solid background in signal processing and statistical analysis. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in research activities, with a proven record of collaboration with academic and industrial partners in national or European projects.

 

A strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching is essential.

The first screening will begin on May 2nd, 2007 and the search will continue until the position is filled.

Institut Eurécom (
http://www.eurecom.fr) is a graduate school in communication systems founded in 1992 by EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne) and ENST (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris).

Eurécom's activity includes research and graduate teaching in corporate, multimedia and mobile communications. Eurécom currently counts about 18 professors, 10 post-docs, 170 M.S. and 60 Ph. D. students. Eurécom is involved in several European research projects and joint collaborations with industry. Eurécom is located in Sophia-Antipolis, a major European technology park for telecommunications research and development in the French Riviera.
